The city of San Diego is an amazing place. There are many places to visit, and the following places in our list are only a few. Traveling by foot can be fun, and San Diego has a great transportation system. You can get around town all day for only $5.

Another good option to get around is to rent a car. This will allow you to cover more ground in less time, or go to places outside of the city. If you should run into an accident there are many towing San Diego companies around to help you out. They are located throughout the county, so whether you are in El Cajon or Chula Vista towing services will be available.

Sea World

The Sea World theme park is a great place to visit with family. There are amazing shows with sea creatures that will take your breath away. Whales, dolphins, sea lions will provide entertainment for your children, and yourself. There are also roller coasters you can enjoy such as Journey To Atlantis, Wild Arctic and Shipwreck Rapids.

Gaslamp Quarter

You can spend your time in many ways in this area. Simply walking through it is sure to give you some good memories. But, there’s also a nightlife you can’t miss, with many great bars and restaurants. During the daytime there are plenty of interesting shops you can visit.

San Diego Zoo

The World Famous San Diego Zoo houses over 4000 animals of 800 different species. They also have an arboreum with many rare plants. There’s a guided tour bus you can take that covers 3/4 of the entire park.

If you visit during the month of October, children can get in for free when you buy an adult ticket. Another option is to visit the first Monday of October when admission is for free.

Balboa Park

Balboa Park is a great attraction for both locals and tourists. With beautiful Spanish architecture decorating every building, you can relax in one of the 8 gardens it has. It also has 16 different museums, so there’s enough to explore here for at least a day.

Beaches

San Diego has enjoyable weather during most of the year. Going to the beach should definitely be included in your list of activities. Some of the San Diego beaches are Coronado Beach, Pacific Beach, Imperial Beach or if you’d like a beach with a roller coaster there is Mission Beach. A beach that stands out for being one of the most photographed in Southern California is La Jolla Cove. It’s a small place that gives you the sense of being in a private beach.
